Past, Present and Future
Founded in 1964 as Pat Ryan and Associates, Resource Automotive has a 45-year legacy that includes virtually introducing the F&I profit center to the industry.
Resource Automotive and its sister companies are the administrators of mechanical repair agreement products and other services for automobile dealers of new and pre-owned cars and trucks throughout the United States. Our mechanical repair agreements are approved for financing by the captive finance arms of all automotive manufacturers as well as all major banks across the country.
Resource Dealer Group, First Extended, Resource Automotive Solutions, and other companies were created and acquired by Resource Automotive to form the foundation of a tradition of excellence in the automotive warranty business. By bringing together the industry's most respected companies under one umbrella, we have created a unique combination of resources to address client's specific profit and asset accumulation objectives.
Resource Automotive provides branded and private label insurance and non-insurance products, as well as specialized programs through or to automotive dealerships and dealership consolidators, vehicle distributors, manufacturers, and maintenance and repair centers. Dealership products are distributed both by employees and through independent agents. Resource Automotive also provides products and programs through financial institutions, the Internet and alternative distribution channels.
Resource Automotive provides retail automotive dealerships with a full range of participation options, from direct to reinsured. First Extended specializes in the dealer obligor, or self insured business model.
